Account security is a top priority for traders on IUX. To protect your account, IUX provides multiple password layers, including a login password, a Trading Password, and an Investor Password. This guide explains how to create and reset your password, as well as how to manage trading and investor access securely.
Types of Passwords on IUX
Before getting started, it’s important to understand the different types of passwords used on IUX:

| Investor Password | Allows view-only access (no trading permissions) |
This structure allows you to share account access safely without exposing trading control.
How to Create a Password for Your IUX Account
To create a password for your IUX account, it must be at least 8 characters long and should include:
- Uppercase letters (A-Z)
- Lowercase letters (a-z)
- Numbers
- Symbols or special characters (!@#$%^&*()_+|~-=\`{}[]:";'<>?,./)
How to Reset Your Password on the website
- Log in to your account.
- Go to the menu at the top right corner and select Settings.
- Select Change Password.
- Enter your current password.
- Enter your new password as desired and confirm.
How to Set a Trading Password
The Trading Password is used to authorize trading actions such as opening or closing positions on platforms like MT4, MT5, or WebTrader. It adds an extra security layer to prevent unauthorized trades.
- Log in to your IUX Client Area
- Go to Account Settings
- Select Set Trading Password
- Create and confirm a new password. A password must be at least 8 characters long and include a combination of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols or special characters (!@#$%^&*()_+|~-=\`{}[]:";'<>?,./).
How to Set an Investor Password
The Investor Password is designed to allow authorized users or individuals to view your account information and price charts only, but not to open or manage any trades. The steps are as follows:
- Log in to your account on the website.
- Go to Account Settings.
- Select Set Investor Password.
- Enter and confirm your password.
Note: For security reasons, do not use the same password for your IUX account and investor login. Store your passwords safely to avoid forgetting them or allowing others to gain access.
